Kansas Farmers Union county chapters organizing for annual meetings

As our Convention gets closer (Dec 10-11), now about a month away, County Chapters are holding their annual meetings. Kansas Farmers Union Bi-laws state that counties must hold meetings before the state convention to vote on delegates and proposed bi-law and policy changes.

Farmers Union member or not, everyone is invited to participate in county meetings and socialize with neighbors. Any questions can be directed to the state office at 620-241-6630 or kfum@nfuic.kscoxmail.com. KFU staff will update this list as we are notified.

November 16 6:30 p.m.: Saline County

Where: Rick Lindholm’s office at 232 S Santa Fe Suite A in Salina. Chili supper will be provided.

November 17 6:30 p.m.: Ford County

Where: Dodge House Hotel Lounge Area in Dodge City. Attendees will be able to order off the menu.

November 18 6:30 p.m.: McPherson County

Where: Perkins in McPherson. Attendees will be able to order off the menu. Guest speaker is Alan Sents, talking about the proposed GIPSA rule.

November 22 6:30 p.m.: Dickinson County

Where: La Fiesta in Abilene. KFU President Donn Teske will be sharing his story of his trip to Senegal, Africa.

November 23 7 p.m.: Marion County

Where: Tampa Co-op office.
